Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya was captured by Mumbai for Rs. 3.9 crore in the second round auction of Indian premier League cricket. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Andrew Symonds are top paid players in the DLF Indian Premier League auction. No one is bidded for McGrath and Md.Yousuf.

1. Harbhajan Singh – Mumbai team – 3.4 crore.
2. Sanath Jayasuriya – Mumbai team – 3.9 crore.
3. Anil Kumble – Bengaluru – 2 crore.
4. Kumara Sangakkara – Mohali – 2.8 crore.

Third round auction results:
Andrew Symonds become the second highest paid bidder in the Indian Premier League auction who was bought by Hyderabad for a whopping sum of 5.4 crore. Australian speedster Brett Lee was bought by Mohali team for 3.6 crore. New Zealand cricketers Jacob oram and McCullum surprised analysts by getting better bids than Ricky Ponting and Hayden. No one is bidded for Michael Hussey!
